About Meghan

Meghan on a ski day above her home in Kennicott

I first graduated from the Dr. Ida Rolf Institute of Structural Integration In Boulder, Colorado in 2016 and earned my Certified Advanced Rolfer™ diploma in 2025. I have also pursued a large array of continuing education to deepen my understanding and ability to treat the whole body. In that vein, I have pursued classes in visceral manipulation, osteopathic (bone) work, nerve work, craniosacral type touch, Rolf Movement, and the list continues to grow. For me continuing education is fun and exciting and I go to as many classes as I can afford. I have studied with many amazing teachers, including: Tessy Brungardt,  Jan Sultan, Ray McCall, Ron Murray, Jeffrey Burch, Peter Schwind, Thomas Walker, Jon Martine, Neal Anderson, and Rebecca Carli-Mills.

How I came to Rolfing®

I was born and raised in Girdwood, Alaska and make my home in Kennicott (McCarthy) Alaska now. My Rolfing®Structural Integration practice and yoga teaching happens in both of these places.  I am also willing to do home visits in other locations such as the Copper River Basin, anywhere along the Glenn Highway, Anchorage or elsewhere. Feel free to ask.

My background includes nordic racing, climbing, backcountry skiing, and living a semi homestead lifestyle with all the physical chores involved in that. My life has been formed around these things, and I understand from personal experience the frustrations of being held back from your goals and passions by pain and/or exhaustion. I also know that finding more efficiency of body use can make a big difference in the performance of a high level athlete or simply the energy for every day things. (In other words you don't need to be in pain to benefit greatly from Rolfing. I wish I would have found it earlier!)

I found Rolfing® and started using yoga in a therapeutic way when my own body stopped allowing me to do what I wanted with it. I spent nearly 10 years actively self healing from a time in my late 20s when I reached a point of pain and exhaustion that kept me from doing much of anything for over a year. It has been a healing journey of incredible learning that eventually led me to a new profession as a Rolfer™.

I would like to save other people from the long frustration of trying to figure out how to heal, and instead help them move forward in the process more quickly than I did. If you address the small problems you may avoid the large ones.
