"In my mid-70’s, I had a series of injuries — knee, shoulder, back — preventing me from continuing activities necessary for living on an Alaska backcountry mountainside. Meghan helped me change my posture to take stress off joints and structure. For example, now I can throw firewood logs, when I couldn’t even lift them before. Her skill enables her to work deeply. For me, the change in posture has enabled not only body tissue healing, but a shift in attitude which is both physically and emotionally uplifting."

"Finding Meghan was a true blessing and gift for my body and mind since our introduction this spring.  I've been an avid athlete, competitive trail racer and professional fisherman/boat captain most of my life until six years ago when I had a major show stopping injury.  The following two years of surgeries and physical therapy I was left on my own and as far as general medicine was concerned "I was fixed".  Unfortunately the amount of pain I was continuously suffering from placed me far from feeling healed.  I've been struggling with a major SI problem, oddly a thing that no one in nearly five years could pinpoint.  Due to the high activity in my profession it became all I could do just to "maintain function", let alone enjoy my time off in having an active lifestyle.  I tried numerous Doctors, Rolfers, Chiropractors etc with no avail.  Nothing worked, until I met Meghan.  Her wisdom of the body and its healthy state of being is by far the best I have ever experienced.  Through patience and guidance she was able to get me on track quite quickly.  Being able to not just "rectify the immediate problem" but to educate me on what I can do physically and mentally to assist in my own recovery process was priceless.  Meghan has brought me to a level where I have not been in more than six years, I am happy to say I am pain free.  I definitely recommend Meghan to anyone looking to get their life back!"

"I live an active life and as a result have had many minor injuries that I had not really paid attention to until last year. I ski and hike for my jobs so I need my body to function properly and last year I could barely walk without pain. I didn’t know much about rolfing but decided to give it a try. Meghan was the perfect fit!  Her practice is in Girdwood and she is also a skier/climber and understands injuries associated with these activities. She definitely helped me understand what was happening with my body and why I was experiencing pain. The actual rolfing resulted in immediate pain relief but what I truly appreciated was the integration into my everyday life so I stop making the same mistakes. She retrained me to do simple things like how to sit, walk, and even breathe. I absolutely recommend Meghan Seifert!"

"Meghan introduced me to Rolfing .  Her kind ,compassionate and knowledgeable approach to administering Rolfing techniques, and her ability to inform and educate regarding posture, body mechanics, and how to approach everyday movement has been invaluable.  I appreciate her commitment to continuing education in her field, so important in our ever changing environment of how people are using and impacting their bodies.  I highly recommend her practice."

“I ask a lot of my body through my outdoor adventures and work, and for years I have had my “team”  (physical therapist; chiropractor/active release technique ART), to help me keep my body functioning at the level that I need/want. They were good at giving me exercises to do and maybe a bit of dry needle or ART. This is all good for a certain level, but if we don't work on the ligaments, tendons and fascia, we are more prone to reinjure the area.  Then I had a full Rolfing series with Meghan and realized Rolfing and Meghan needed to be an integral part of keeping my body functioning for sustainability and longevity. Meghan has the gift of being able to feel exactly what is going on in my body and work her magic hands to help realign or release whatever is bound up inside. The wild thing about Rolfing is that a lot of the time the area that needs to be released or realigned is not the area that is causing the discomfort.   The way Meghan works with the fascia and all levels of attachment in the body is phenomenal. Injuries that would take long to heal or reoccur are now given the support and freedom they need to heal. I go in for a tuneup whenever I can, I am so grateful for Meghan.”

"If you're thinking about booking an appointment with Meghan and Balance Rolfing, I would highly encourage you to do so. To give some context, I'm an active 31 year old male. When I was 20, I injured my back and shoulder pretty badly in a skiing accident and have experienced chronic pain around my scapula and rhomboids since then. My main passion is alpine climbing, and as such my quality of life suffers every time I train or participate in my hobby due to the pain. I tried a plethora of solutions but massage therapy was the only thing that gave relief, albeit briefly. I heard about Meghan from someone in Girdwood, and had previously heard about Rolfing but never tried it before. I booked an appointment with Meghan to try it out, then booked a few more as my funds allowed. Meghan is extremely skilled and operates in a gentle, subtle way, manipulating fascia and guiding, rather than forcing, imbalances toward a better position. The body then absorbs this guiding, and in a gradual yet powerful process, can heal. I've seen Meghan three or four times, and after ten years of trying different solutions, I've seen genuine progress and can participate in my passions with less pain. As with everything, healing is an ongoing process. If I could express one thing to Meghan, it would be gratitude. I'm not wealthy and can't get work done all the time, but the sessions at Balance Rolfing have been overwhelmingly worth the money. If you're in pain and can't seem to find solutions, give this a chance. You and your quality of life are worth it."

"I have dealt with a number of back, neck and shoulder issues for years which I believed were “chronic” and that I would just need to accept as “normal.” After just a few sessions with Meghan, however, I now have great relief and improved movement in all those areas! The treatments are non painful, non stressful and Meghan is very respectful and professional. I highly recommend her."
